In isolation one finds solace yet questions - has the storm subsided, or does danger still haunt lands swept clean? Here in this quiet scene of watch and wait, of stretched hoping hands, an age-old story echoes once more.
This piece seeks to capture a moment suspended between turmoil's aftermath and peace's first stirrings - as in days past, when one man first sensed in a messenger bird whether ground lay dry beneath flood's recede. In such times, walls both shelter and confine; questions linger where answers once came easy. It is a reflection on humanity's repeated pattern, to take refuge when storms surge high yet strain for signs of blue within the remaining gray.
Though circumstances differ across eras, our nature remains the same - to cling hopeful to fellowship in adversity's throes and yearn to put foot once more on familiar paths. It is my hope that in viewing this private moment, an sense of shared experience may take wing - that in knowing history's cycles repeat its refrains even through varying verses, solace can be found in our enduring, outstretched hands. As the tides of time bear us in turns to flood or follow, may we find strength in each other across their divides. In exploring ageless themes, perhaps answers arise anew for ages yet to be.
