Possibly owing to my introverted form, It’s always been my practice to keep a safe space away from all the noises and voices. I like to think this is how we can keep ourselves sane. Introverted or otherwise, I made thing painting – and these series - while going through multiple rejections that swirled into bouts of self-doubts. I continue to view existence currently from a combat perspective. When we get hit hard or not so hard, there has to be somewhere we retreat to, not to give up but to recuperate and find answers.
